From sketches to production
The agate panes should have a certain thickness so that the light can pass through the door into the interior of the house particularly well.
Because the client wanted cheerful colors, I chose expressive tones such as magenta, blue and creamy white. The symmetrical arrangement of the individual elements required a lot of patience and craftsmanship to create an exciting surface with an aesthetic appeal.
A copper foil is applied along the contour of the slices, which then joins the stones together with the solder. Tin can also be colored with a patina in brown, black or copper, giving the seams an aged look.
